1. From Faro airport

The easiest way to reach Vilamoura is to flight to the Faro international airport, directly or through a connecting flight from Lisboa. Faro is around 20 km far from Vilamoura.

You can reach the center of Vilamoura by:

Taxi (around 28,00 Euros per way)
Bus shuttles provided by Viagens Abreu (around 18.90 Euros per person and way).

2. From Lisboa airport

Lisboa is around 270 km far from Vilamoura.

You can reach Vilamoura by:

Plane (approximate cost per person are 125,00 Euros for one way and 180,00 Euros for the round trip).

Bus, (http://www.rede-expressos.pt), starting from “Terminal da Rede Expressos de Sete Rios”, na praça Marechal Humberto Delgado (near the Lisbon Zoo). The Spring-Summer timetable has about fifteen buses per day between Lisboa and Vilamoura and about the same number from Vilamoura to Lisbon. The trip lasts about 3H30M and the cost is 15 Euros.

Autumn-Winter timetable will be inserted in this website as soon as it is available. The bus station in Lisbon can be reached from the international airport by taxi (cost is around 10 Euros). Bus Schedule

Bus shuttles provided by Viagens Abreu from the Airport. The cost depends on the number of persons for each transfer. Maximum price is 56,50 Euros per person and way.

Train, (http://www.cp.pt) starting from “Gare do Oriente”. The cost is 14.50 Euros (2^nd class) 19.00 Euros (1^st class) per person and way. The current timetable has four trains per day Lisboa and Faro and the same number from Faro to Lisboa. The trip lasts 3H05M. The Autunn-Winter timetable will be available in this website as soon as it is available. “Gare do Oriente” can be reached from the international airport by taxi (around 7 Euros). You can go from the Faro train station to Vilamoura by taxi (around 40 Euros per way).

Rent car. Starting from the international airport, you should take “Ponte Vasco da Gama” and the motorway to “Algarve” and “Faro”.

3.Official Carrier

I.S.T. has signed a contract appointing TAP Air Portugal as Official Carrier of the forthcoming IAEA Fusion Energy Conference.

This contract foresees discounts of 15% and 25% respectively in the economy and business tickets bought in the TAP website for the participants and accompanying persons.

To make the booking, the participant should follow these steps:

1) Enter the website www.tap-airportugal.com and select the dates and cities of choice

2) Click on Book Now and make a normal booking

3) The conference code (IT4TPCG07), the family name that is in the FEC list of participants and the name of the conference must be inserted in the Special Requests field.

Important Information

The discount applicable to this conference is only valid for online bookings made through TAP Air Portugal’s website and with payment by credit card. The ticket will always be an electronic ticket, except in cases of destinations where the electronic ticket is not possible.

Bookings made previously by travel agencies or at our desks are not eligible for this discount.

The final price shown at the end of the booking is the public fare available and applicable to the selected flights and dates, including taxes. The conference discount will be applied, only at issuing moment, over the fare available, excluding all taxes related to the voyage. The currency used will always be Euros.

The discount only applies to TAP operated flights. Bookings on code-share flights operated by other airlines are not permitted. Code-share flights are identified on online bookings with the code OP (Example: TP6701 OP).

The discount applies to round trip journeys from any TAP destination.

The booking can be made at any time. The travel dates must be comprehended inr the period of 10 days before / 10 days after the conference dates.

The discount is also extended to the participants, organizing staff and accompanying persons.

The conditions and restrictions regarding changes and refunds are those of the applicable fare. Please check the fare details before ending your booking.
